THE COLOUR DIARIES

Close your eyes and think of your favourite bright colour. Vision it in your mind. Is it a delicious pink? A zesty orange? Or might it be a bold yellow? No matter what it is you'll be sure to find it on the catwalk this season. And about time, don't you think? The safe colours such as black, white, grey and brown have reigned for quite some time now, and even though all of these can look extremely stunning, it's about time to spice up our wardrobes a bit.

There are so many beautiful, colourful clothes and accessories out there for you girls to go and experiment and have fun with. Just think of Carrie Bradshaw...which colour has she not worn? And hasn't she ALWAYS looked absolutely perfect?! So..I have made it my mission to spread around the word that colour is beautiful, and you'll definitely get the attention you deserve wearing a hot red dress instead of a brown potato bag!

Enjoy, my darlings!

ZESTY ORANGE

You might not think it, but orange is actually super-flattering and much more forgiving than red. So if you love the colour orange on paper, do not hesitate to wear it. Stars like Kirsten Dunst, Eva Mendez and Nicole Richie have all embraced this lovely citrus colour because they know that then they will get noticed, and who doesn't want to be? ;)

THE CATWALK

Wearing an orange coat and a jumper in the same colour looks fantastic (here created by Prada), and is perfect for this fall. Team up with matching gloves and a clutch, and you are ready go.

If you are the type to take fashion risks, and someone who loves to play around with trends, go for a full-on orange effect like Emilio Pucci. If you are able to pull it off, people will turn heads and you just might become someone's new style icon!

Team a dark and dramatic shade of orange with a basic colour like white, black or grey like Matthew Williamson has done. And don't forget a bold accessory, like a necklace, bangle or large earrings, to finish off the outfit!

Orange and gold is a perfect match, in my opinion. And Temperley has made the absolute perfect dress. To create a very dramatic effect with a pale orange, team it with sheer black leggings or tights and gold heels or gladiator sandals.

If you just want to add a little bit of orange into your wardrobe, how about some shoes, a handbag or a hat (as seen in Pollini's collection)? You are then able to look fashionably chic and daring, whithout being worried if you have taken it too much over the top.

THE CELEBRITIES

Chloe Sevigny looks remarkable in this short, bright orange dress!

Recognise this dress? Yes, the gorgeous one from Temperley. Mischa Barton looks so happy and smily wearing it..doesn't it make you want to put on something orange right away?!

Nicole Richie
