Big, Chunky Necklaces, Big Bills

Yeah, that header was a stretch. Whatevz. Love these big-ass chunky necklaces. And by the way, I'm STILL on a quest to find that elusive, indescribable neon necklace! HALP PLEEZ!!1

($318, Issy Salomon, Charmandchain.com)
I love the hi/low combo here -- hot pink punked-out Lucite mixed with more upscale-y glass beads and rhinestones. By the way, I have an awesome Issy Salomon necklace that I bought at Edge NY in Soho (go check it out -- it's like the Young Designer's Market) from Issy himself, who's extremely nice. I'm such a Lucite whore.

($200, Nicole Romano, Vivre.com)
This one's got a sweet, sorta post-apocalyptic vibe to it.

($350, Givenchy, Macy's)
Stand-out piece frm Givenchy's Neon Collection, available at select Macy's. A total Deco dream
in crystal and hematite.

Okay, so WHAT would you wear with these statement necklaces? NOTHING! JK, whores. How about either a really simple black dress, OR a grey dress, since it's ALWAYS the new-new black. Like so?

($35, Lulu's)

($158, Karoo, Bluefly)
Sweet color-blocked cashmere!

... And, as promised, "Big Bills." See? Full circle, people. Full circle.

Quickie Jewelry Binge: Patricia Field For HSN (Seriously), All The Way Up to Vivre!

Jewelry I really really want, in order of expensieness!

OK, this I already own, but this and a handful of other Alex + Chloe pieces are now on sale. So you can own 'em! For less!

($39.95, Patricia Field for HSN)
It's probably for the best that the black version of this is sold out, because I'd have definitely bought it, and the last thing I need is more costume jewelry. And seriously, I would've bought it. It's glass and it's gorgeous. And seriously, I LOVE Patricia Field's HSN collection!

($39.95, Patricia Field for HSN)
Combining my love of pyramid studs with my love for orange things!

($48.75, Kiel Mead, Delight.com)
The reminder ringer = simple, refined, elegant, AND practical! AND crafty-cool sewing blogger Shira (aka In the Sky & On the Road) has one too!

($650, Patricia von Musulin, Vivre.com)
Hand-carved Lucite. Dying...

Jewelry I Love and Want Right Now

I could devote an entire blog solely to my love of Alexis Bittar. Just a few more pieces I love, all from his Lucite line ...

($150, Alexis Bittar)
My Kryptonite. Gah! Shit's bringing me down! I'm powerless in its presence!

($150, Alexis Bittar)
I mean SERIOUSLY.

($85, Alexis Bittar)
I'm not a huge fan of red, but these are so slim and smooth, that I'd so do it. (I WOULD!)

($110, Tarina Tarantino, Shoplastyle.com)
I'm not so much a fan of Tarina Tarantino anymore, but I'll make an exception for these. Very elegant, yet not too stuffy. By the way, here's a 20% off coupon for ShopLAStyle: cookie29891. (Looks like a one-time use thing, so someone hurry up and use it!)

($32, Llyon LA, Blondette.com)
While I'm not into crosses, these are cute. And cheap!

(Apprx $1,199, Lulu Frost, Kabiri.co.uk)
Would this be more than my apartment's monthly rent? Yes. Would this be the most beautiful thing in my apartment? Indeed.

Neutrals, Part 2: In the Clear

I put "clear" in the neutral category, because really, does it get much more neutral than clear? And there's SO much clear jewelry going around these days. Here's just some of the stuff I love.

($14.99, Modcloth.com)
Gotta love an entire charm necklace made of clear lucite!! And gotta love that it's from Modcloth.com, who JUST SO HAPPEN to have given us some great stuff to raffle off at the MUCH discussed FASHION BINGE party occurring on this day in history, Friday, 5/25.

($12.50, Delias.com)
You either need to adjust your monitor or click, because these clear pieces barely show up. Which is sorta the point.

($8.80, Forever21)

($7.80, Forever 21)

($5.80, Forever 21)

($7.80, Forever21)
Totes hearts! Forever 21 also had a bunch more clear stuff, none of which properly showed up, so here they are:
* $5.80 Faceted Lucite necklace
* $6.80 Miranda necklace 1 and $7.80 Crystal necklace 2
* $6.80 Crystal necklace
* $5.80, Monique necklace

And here's a Delia's necklace that's also cute, clear and cheap.

Yay Target! This lucite necklace is also great. It's $31.99.

($4.50, Claire's)
I'm not too proud to go to Claire's for this $4.50 Betty Rubble bracelet!

($75, Betsey Johnson, Jestjewels.com)
Betsey Johson is usually anything but neutral, but this is as close to it as she gets. I really love this piece.

($14.99, Modcloth.com)
Yeah it's not "clear" or beige or tan or whatever, but it's close enough, and OMG I want this necklace.

(Starting bid $15.99, eBay)
This vintage Bakelite pin is pretty much perfect.

(Starting bid $25.99, eBay)
As is this vintage Courreges ring. Sigh.

($169, Palmbeachjewelry.com)
Wuv.

(Starting bid $19.89, eBay)

($675, Joan Hornig, NeimanMarcus.com)
Yay, pretty. Boo, expensive.

($195, Alexis Bittar, Saks Fifth Avenue)
Pwetty.

($20, Shopintuition.com)
Yay! Affordable!

(18, Shopintuition.com)
Less money, more yay!

($27, KoloSstudios, KolosStudios.etsy.com)
Okay, now I don't necessarily think I'd wear this particular piece, but it is pretty cool.

($89, Palmbeachjewelry.com)
I guess at this point I'm just throwing stuff up there. Oh well. This is cool.

($5 Buy It Now, eBay)
Doesn't really get more neutral than this.

($7.99 Buy It Now, eBay)
The fact that they're screwback and really old and have shells in them sorta remind me of how you feel sorta depressed when you go to a thrift store in Florida or Palm Springs or something and you know everything in the joint is from dead grandmas. Oh well. These are rad.

Nighty!
