The Model as Muse

If you appreciate (love) fashion and the ridiculously attractive models behind the clothes, then you will love The Model as Muse: Embodying Fashion exhibit at the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute. Curated by Marc Jacobs, The Model as Muse pays homage to the iconic models who both promoted and inspired fashion and its artists, and epitomized their era spanning the period from 1947-1997. The exhibit offers incredible fashion photography of some of the biggest supermodels of our time including Suzy Parker, Veruschka, Twiggy, and the infamous supermodel trinity of Linda Evangelista, Christy Turlington, and Naomi Campbell. There are also some gorgeous examples of haute couture and ready to wear, especially the immaculately constructed ball gowns of the glamorous Cecil Beaton era.
