I can definitely see an Oscar gown or two in this gorgeous lineup from Stephane Rolland's Spring Couture collection...

//Kisses From Paris//
Watch this beautiful three-minute film made by Yvan Attal. It is about Paris: the hidden treasures you can discover there, and about the lovers that roam the streets. You will not regret it.

The song played in the background, "Leaving for Paris" sung by Rufus Wainwright, is magical.

take me to paris

Some photos make my craving for the beautiful and stunning city, Paris, even stronger, and these manage to do just that. I want to go there this instant and roll around on the ground in a blue sequined skirt and my old rollerskates.

I Heart Balmain
I think that I am in love.
With Cristophe Decarnin and his stunning designs for Balmain. I just don't understand how this man does it. I am still drooling over this look from the Fall 08 collection and my goal is to look as fabulous as this every night I go out. I know, my expectations are too damn high. Where does Decarnin find this brilliant inspiration? Personally, I think that he has been clicking himself around the blogosphere and found a lot of inspiration from all of the fabulous style blogs out there because many of these outfits remind me quite a lot of things a few bloggers have worn. So to you who may be reading this and who feel they have worn outfits similar to Decarnin's, praise yourself lucky to be in such great company and to have your head filled with so much fabulous inspiration. I'm going to stop ranting on now, and let you enjoy the photos instead. Hands down one of the best S/S 09 collections I have seen until now.

Carrie's Paris, My Paris
Just to let you all know: this will is me from today and until October 5th. A reaction like this is not uncommon for me, and let me tell you that when I saw the Eiffel Tower for the first time when I was in Paris about two years ago, I had almost an exact same reaction like Carrie when she saw it. No kidding! I try to control it, but I have found that it's actually quite uncontrolable. Unfortunately, I'm not going to Paris today (oh how I wish!), but Paris will be coming to me through my laptop screen. Ladies and gentlemen, you all know what I am talking about: Paris Fashion Week is finally here!

To celebrate that Paris Fashion Week has arrived, I thought what better way to do it than combine two of my great fascinations and adorations, Paris and Carrie, and create a post out of it?! Watching the two last Sex & The City episodes where we get to follow Carrie and her experiences in Paris is such a lovely way to relax and just enjoy some great entertainment, fantastic fashion and not to mention wonderful surroundings. I admire the way Patricia Fields has styled Carrie in these episodes because the outfits reflect both Carrie's own way of dressing, but also adds the European and especially the French styles. May Paris Fashion Week bring us the same inspiration that we get from looking at these outfits!

J'adore Paris And Eiffel Tower Panties
I am so sorry for my absence these last few days, but I just haven't had a single free moment until now. I've been working a lot this weekend, and on Saturday I went to my friend's going-away party. I had a great time, but note to self: It's not a very good idea to party all night long when you're getting a mean cold. It completely ruined my Sunday, but still, it was worth kind of worth it. I have to head off straight after I've finished this post, so instead of replying to your comments today, I will definitely do it tomorrow.
Anyway, we are now finished with New York Fashion Week, and boy did they serve us some amazing collections! So many designers impressed me, and after seeing the collections I just can't wait for spring 09. Even though I am very excited that London Fashion Week has arrived, I have to admit that it doesn't give me quite the same satisfaction that I know I will receive when Paris Fashion Week starts the 28th of September.
So while I wait with great impatience, I'll post the stunning editorial from Vogue Paris June/July 2008. It features Doutzen Kroes, Lily Donaldsen, Natasha Poly, Sasha Pivovarova and Catherine McNeil, and they all do a fantastic job in this photo shoot. Even though they aren't Parisiennes in real life, they sure do express the chicness and beauty which is connected to the women from Paris. One of my biggest dreams is to one day live in the city of love, and these photos definitely add more fuel to the dream of moving to Paris. Where do you dream of living?
